Stamp out the Fire bug?

Hi, I think there are two issues here. First it doesn't seem the SOtF is doing it's job. My pet is hitting for the same damage (I've been jotting down my bear's Bear Weak Swipe damage for normal hit, crit, and devastating damage). The ranges I am writing down are the same with and without Burning Embers on the target.

Secondly, this also is happening with Searing Embers. I'm hoping that SE will still give my pet a bonus to damage, because if I lose a class trait because I decide to upgrade BE to SE, that would just be horrid designing. Please let me know if anyone else is having issues! I'm posting this in the bug forums as well.

no weapon / too much weapons bug

Most of the times he's holding his sword in his left hand (out of combat, while still equipped at his site) and when casting lightning-skills he has no weapons in his right hand (but pretends so).
New U16.2 or known bug? Did not play for a while...

Teach me how to AOE please

Hi, I have a noob LM I need to level up. At what level can I start gathering up and AOE'ing mobs. I saw a LM using what I think was Sign Of Battle: Wizard's Fire to gather up a pack and then using another spell to drop the pack. But I'm not fixated on any given spell, I just want to know a functional combo and at what level I expect to get them.

Thanks. :)

Loremaster bugged skills

Well we all know how bugged gust of wind is, anyway i returned to play my loremaster a while ago and saw this bugged skill(they removed the old animation and its quite useless as it is)but I have seen people here in the loremaster section complaining about other skills, is it my impression or the loremaster class is quite bugged?? and when the class dev is going to do something about it?? it seems to me its been like this for quite some time.

Morale cost of Skills

Remove the morale cost of the loremaster skills please...

It has been there for an eternity and I think some devs dont even know it still excist.
Remove it with the next patch please. I understood why we had it in the past, but in these days, the morale costs are a joke...
I dont see why loremaster as an already induction based class, have to suffer morale cost from skills, where other classes dont have the inductions and can deal even bigger hits with no morale cost.

I hope a dev will see this and take it into consideration.

Thank you.

PvMP Build Stats with new Eldacar armour etc

Now that people have maybe had time to get the new Eldacar armour, as well as maybe some of the Osgiliath essence jewellery... What are your PvMP build stats?

In particular, un-buffed by Ettens OPs etc (!) how much morale, tact mastery, crit rating, finesse, mits, crit def (though with new passives, this is likely to be higher than needed) do you have?

I am currently experimenting with:
about 25.5k morale
54k ish tact mastery
>22k crit rating (with fire crit rating legacy taking this to cap for all fire skills)
10.7k finesse
Over-capped OC/FW and tact mits, both by about 2k iirc - to cope with reaver, warg and defiler armour/mits debuff skills
Crit defence over 60% (can't recall the figure, but it comes just from the armour passives as I have un-slotted crit def-boosting LI relics in favour of offense-boosting stats and don't use crit def essences or the Osgiliath defenders cloak (the one with 1.9k crit def) in PvMP)

I am yet to test this out much. Previously, I had experimented with a fair bit more morale at the expense of tactical mastery. I found this Very survivable but a bit slow in dps. I am happy to die quite a lot (facing a group, I am often the RAT - as LMs often should be), but I'd like to do more than sitting pretty with a lot of morale I think. Of course, upgraded SG/BE, stacked, does lovely damage even without much tactical mastery, and AC follwed by LS is one of the biggest hitting attacks in the game, but creeps on my server often now have very large morale pools (reavers and warleaders with >100k etc), so I am speculating that more mastery for an LM might be more useful than 35k morale or similar (?) - unless the LM is nearly always grouped and playing support.

(Btw, the action on my server (Laurelin) has almost entirely moved back to the old map. The new map basically lasted a week for our community, by which time people seemed thoroughly bored of bridge-farming. I'm pleased to say we've been getting the numbers for raid v raid in the Ettenmoors since then. There are some features of the new map I like eg it looks pretty, has some nice flank spots, and a great spars area: Dome of Stars, but it's difficult to prevent action returning to the bridge farm unless the devs make some changes or the community work together to avoid that yawn fest.)

I would be very pleased to hear from LMs who have built themselves very differently. Please give reasons for your choices, and feel free to use combat analysis data etc if you so wish.

Me or her keep dieying. And it's a solo instance (seriously... WTH where programmers smoking when they made this thing?)

Please help =(

Playing the LM again

So I started to play my Lore Master. I have had this toon for years. I took a break from LOTRO and came back recently to get my main and alts to 100. There is a lot I love about the new content and quests. After leveling up a few of my characters I came back to the LM.

Of all my toons the LM has always been my favorite behind my main. As I was plodding through Fanghorn I started to realize that I miss the old LM. With all the class revamps I think the LM has suffered the most from the loss of strategy and hybrid builds. I love some of the new elements that the LM has. The pet line is finally close to what it always should have been. The redline is a quick kill as long as I do not get too close to the action. I am just now starting to mess with the yellow line.

I am having fun but there is now less strategy involved. My rotation on the blue line is the same thing. The only thing that changes is when I am facing an elite. The LM is not so much about strategy and CC is not as important as it was before. I have leveled the hunter, warden, RK, Guard, Burg to 100. The captain and minstrel are in the 80s. Off all the classes the LM and RK are the most different from before HD IMO.
It may be just nostalgia that is affecting my POV! Maybe when I hit 100 things will change.

Understanding the Lore-Masters trait trees

Blue trait tree is for a player who relies on his/her companion so it does most of the work in combat.
Red trait tree is for a player who relies on himself/herself by doing more damage with skills and use them more frequently.
Yellow trait tree is for a player who wants to make an enemy weaker and easier to kill.

Correct me if I'm wrong! :)
