Staff?

Hey guys. I have a lvl 71 LM and am using a lvl 60 2nd age staff. I like the legacies on it and it has served me well thus far. The question is; since we don't do a ton of melee; can I stick with this staff till I hit 85? Or I'm I going to start having a difficult time hitting mobs, etc by the later 70s levels...?
