The Rising of a Lore-Master

Now that I've done Rohan on my Burglar and am now just grinding Hytbold-bugud etc etc whenever I finish that I go to my Lore-Master and raise him up. It's been half an age since I leveled him up so I'm a bit behind the times and also would like to get a good look ahead to see when I'm sort of expecting, so, to make it short I'll just ask a few questions:

What is mounted combat like for LM?
I assume Light Steed?
What Virtues should I have? (I've had a look at them lately and for some reason questioned them)
What LM experience of Rohan in General?
